ABOUT US

The Walter and Albertina Sisulu Foundation (Foundation) is a not-for-profit and non-partisan organization, registered in the Republic of South Africa.

The Foundation’s mission is committed to advancing social justice.

Social justice is essential for building a more equitable and just society. It addresses the root causes of inequality and advocates for systemic change, focusing on the interconnected issues of economic, educational, healthcare, gender, environmental, and racial justice.

The Foundation strives for the fair treatment and equitable opportunities for all individuals and social groups, especially those who have been historically oppressed, exploited, or marginalized.

Achieving social justice requires collective action, advocacy, and a firm commitment to challenging the status quo.

The Foundation was founded by Lindiwe Nonceba Sisulu in memory of her parents, Walter and Albertina Sisulu, who dedicated their lives to the fight against Apartheid in South Africa. Their lifelong selfless sacrifices and contributions helped shape the country’s post-Apartheid future, inspiring generations to strive for a society built on the principles of economic and social justice, and equality before the law.
